Renslow Sherer 1888-1979 was an acclaimed artist from Chicago, Ill. Listed in Falks Who Was Who in American Art and Fieldings Dictionary of American Painters, Sculptors and Engravers. He painted a wide variety of subjects and was an art collector in his own right. This impressive oil on Masonite was painted in 1967, and boasts a very nice sketch of buildings, verso. From a fashionable estate on the east coast of Florida. The quality drew me in immediately even though I was unfamiliar with the artist at that time. You can view a number of his works on Askart.com.
