The Abandoned Farm

Kallem painted many subjects, from still life to portraits, to landscapes and genre scenes.  His two sons, Henry and Herbert also became artists.  Kallem exhibited with the Society of Independent Artists in NYC, at the PAFA in Philadelphia and at the Corcoran in Washington, DC.  I love the mood of this lively yet strangely melancholy view.
