Restoration: None performed by this gallery. Two patches are visible on the back of the canvas. There is a tiny dent to the paint in the tree on the right which can be seen about a third of the way up in the fourth photo. (see below) Uncertain if the canvas was ever lined. Stretchers were probably replaced in the 19th or early twentieth century. Probably has not been cleaned in a hundred years.
Frame: Ornate gilt gesso over wood shallow cove frame with protruding scrolled foliate and shell decorated cartouches at corners and axes.
